Vampire Books: Twilight and Beyond
Why are so many people into Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series? According to Ede, Meyer makes characters come to life. In fact, Ede says "You get to know them(the characters) so well they become your friends." Katrina W said that Meyer makes main character Edward so hot that "you want to kill Bella to make Edward yours." While most of the print copies of Meyer's books are out we have all the Twilight books ready for your ipod or one of the library's.

Sequel to Hunger Games - Catching Fire
I recently read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and fell in love with the book and the main character, Katniss. Can you imagine a world where one boy and one girl ages 12-18 are randomly chosen to participate in a fight to the death where the victor wins food and preferred treatment for life? The losers are often killed brutally. 24 kids fight and some are quite skilled in hand to hand combat.
Anyway, if you are wating for the sequel as much as I you are going to have to wait until next September. Catching Fire will be out in September and I am sure we will have at least one copy in the library. In the meantime, if you have not read The Hunger Games, you should.

The Book Review Blog
We just wanted to remind everyone about our BRHS Book Review Blog. Students in Ms. Hammond's 9th grade english classes have been reviewing their favorite books since September. As a result, the blog is filled with reviews of popular books. Try searching a popular author like Sarah Dessen. As of right now, you will be able to read 6 different reviews about Dessen's different titles.
